  Beautiful Vittal,a swyambu attracts large number of devotees from all parts of India. From South this place is reached from SOLAPUR by bus(every 30mts)/taxi thro 75km road or from KURUDWADI by bus/taxi thro 60km road. Watching the early morning (4 to 6 a.m.) Khakade harthi and abhishekam is really a divine experience. Through the priests called Badaves, this event can be sponsored. One wonderful experience is that you can touch the idol of God, and pray for your relief. Usually long queue awaits to get this feeling. Srimukha darsan can be achieved easily and freely. The Aashada Ekadasi festival is conducted for 10 days in grand manner. The Vasantha Navarathri festival is also worth participating. The worship here is complete only when you visit the Pundaleekan (the Prime devotee)temple on the bank of Chandrabhaga river. The ISKCON temple on the other side of the Chandrabhaga (Bhima) has added beauty and attraction to this town.
