The monumental station is situated along the 50A railway line(Brussels-South-Ostend.

Built between 1907 and 1913 in Belle Epoque style and captures both train and boat travelers.
A metal structure spanned the main building which is visible in the façade.
Two heavy, projecting square tower buildings determine the characteristic appearance of the station build by the architects Otten and Seulen.
The station was established in 1983 as protected architectural heritage.
