Maliboomer was a 180 foot "Space Shot" attraction by S&S Power. The ride launched riders into the air, mimicking a "high striker" carnival game. The ride used scream shields to protect noise levels from surrounding neighborhoods. The California Screamin' roller coaster uses similar shields on the highest portions of the ride. Maliboomer's name is a pun playing off of the community name Malibu in Southern California.
