Battleship Row was the grouping of seven of the eight battleships in port at Pearl Harbor (the USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) was in dry dock) during the surprise attack on the morning of December 7th, 1941. Moored along the coast of Ford Island in peacetime in-harbor readiness condition, these ships bore the brunt of the Japanese assault, and suffered heavy damage and casualties. The ships were:

USS Nevada (BB-36) - Damaged and run aground
USS Oklahoma (BB-37)- Capsized and Sunk
USS Arizona (BB-39) - Sunk
USS Tennessee (BB-43)- Damaged
USS California (BB-44) - Sunk
USS Maryland (BB-46) - Damaged
USS West Virginia (BB-48)- Sunk

USS Maryland (BB-46) & USS Tennessee (BB-43) were able to sail free of Pearl Harbor after light repairs and returned to active duty in early-to-mid 1942. The other ships took much longer to refloat and repair, with the USS West Virginia (BB-48) being the last ship departing Pearl Harbor for major repairs in the US in April 1943. Both the USS Arizona (BB-39) and USS Oklahoma (BB-37) were severely damaged by the attack, and never returned to active service.
