Height 873m. Other ancient names: Selinountio - Opheltio - Apesas. The remains of the great ash altar of Zeus Apesantios that Perseus established are located on top of the summit. There are many references for Apesas in the works of several ancient writers (Hesiod, Pindarus, Pausanias, Demodocus, Callimachus, Stephanus Byzantius).
