Bodinayakkanur ~ Located on the foot hills of the West Ghats, this town is popular for cardamom mango and coffee market. This small town is situated in the eastern outskirts of the high ranges in the Madura district(now Theni dt.), assumed subsequently the status of "Cardamom city" on account of large quantity of cardamom trade in that centre.

Resounding cascades, silver-lined clouds resting a top billiard green hill tops, sheer rock faces and temples of antiquity are the stuff that distinguish this place from others.
