The Tauragė Facility consists of two bases with 4 launch pads each, a South Base (the location given in the INF Treaty) and a North Base. They are approximately 8 kilometers apart (this is north). According to inscriptions found in Tauragė South, the battery was deployed on April 18th, 1960.The SS-4 Missiles were removed in 1988 and the base was transferred to a motorized infantry regiment. This was withdrawn from Lithuania in 1992.
