Running from Dover to Richlands, this 65 mile rail line was owned by the Goldsboro Lumber Company. The D&SB brought freshly cut pine to their Dover-based mill from the thick forests to the south.
At one time, the D&SB operated all the way to Chinquapin with a spur to Trenton. The right of way is easy to trace here on WikiMapia. The mill and railroad were abandoned in the early 1950's.
