Greenpeace Ex-Headquarters

At the time it was built (1904/1905), this building scandalised Amsterdam by being higher than any church at the time. Former bank, former insurance building. Along with the American Hotel in Leidseplein, an example of some style architecture often incorrectly called "Art Nouveau" but the correct term is jugendstil.

Often referred to as the "Greenpeace Headquarters", but Greenpeace moved to a different location in january 2004.

Address: Keizersgracht, 174-176

It is "jugendstil" and even today still is the proud head quarters of the money spending machine called Greenpeace.

Shocking that this establishment and the "gay memorial" are on the same block as the house where Anne Frank hid from the Nazis. It's disgraceful, not only to her and her family, but all who died in the Holocaust.
