Seattle Link Light Rail Beacon Hill Station (Seattle)

Opened July 18 2009, this station features elevators going over 180 feet down to the tunnel that links SODO and Ranier Valley. The artwork and decor give the station an otherworldly feel that suggests an undersea descent.

Artist Bill Bell's series of LED "Lightsticks" embedded in the walls of the tunnel offer an fleeting glance at images, words and playing cards to riders approaching and leaving the station.
