It is called "Lakshita Yathanam"

This is the FIRST Rock-cut temple built by King Mahendra Verma Pallava - I in the 7th century AD. It is an Archaeological Survey Of India (ASI) protected Monument. There are three cave cut shrines protected by dwarapalakas each dedicated to the trimurtis (Shiva, Vishnu & brahmavu)It is placed at a height and there are steps leading onto it.

The construction is Brickless, Timberless, Metal-less, and Mortarless. The stone members are connected using accurate joinery

It is about 162 KM from Madras (Chennai), 60 KM from Puducherry, 17 KM from Gingee (Gingi)
