Golf von Kachchh (Gulf of Kuchh)

Der Golf von Kachchh (engl.: Gulf of Kutch) ist ein Teil der Arabischen See und liegt entlang der Westküste von Indien im indischen Bundesstaat Gujarat.

Mit rund 180km Länge teilt er die Halbinsel Kathiawar vom nördlichen Festland, der Region Kachchh, ab und verläuft in nordöstlicher Richtung.

Wirtschaftlich wird der Golf als natürlicher Seehafen genutzt, insbesondere für die Ölindustrie mit der weltweit größten Raffinerie in Jamnagar. Ein großer Ölhafen befindet sich in Kandla.
German to English translation:-The gulf of Kachchh (English: Gulf of Kutch) is a part the Arabian lake and lies along the west coast of India in the Indian federal state Gujarat.

With about 180-km length he divides off the peninsula Kathiawar of the northern mainland, the region Kachchh, and runs in northeast direction.

Economically the gulf is used as a natural seaport, in particular for the oil industry with the worldwide biggest refinery in Jamnagar. A big oil harbour is in Kandla.
