After 72 years, the Triborough Bridge — Robert Moses’s three spans connecting Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx — was formally renamed on Wednesday November 19th, 2008 for Robert F. Kennedy.
The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge is a complex of three bridges connecting the New York City boroughs of the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens on Long Island, using what were two islands, Ward's Island and Randall's Island as intermediate rights-of-way between the water crossings.

Comments

  • Excellent Polygon work on the Robert F Kennedy Bridge by sturmovik.
  • No disrespect to RFK, but the new name is stupid. They should have left it as the Triborough...
