The Rosa Luxemburg Square (German: Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz)is a square in Berlin.
The square is dominated by the Volksbühne as well as the Karl-Liebknecht-Haus, the headquarters of the German The Left Party.PDS.

It is named after the German communist leader Rosa Luxemburg, a name which it was given in 1969 when it was part of East Berlin in the German Democratic Republic. It had previously been named Babelsberger Platz (1907-1910) and Bülowplatz (1910-1933). In 1933 with the rise of the Third Reich, it was named Horst-Wessel-Platz (1933 - 1945) after National Socialist martyr Horst Wessel. Following the fall of Berlin and Soviet occupation it was named Liebknechtplatz (1945-1947) after German communist Karl Liebknecht. It was then renamed Luxemburgplatz (1947 - 1969) until receiving its current name.
