Mine No. 7-8 was opened in 1914 as part of of the mining camp Makaryevsky of Ekaterinovskaya mining company (former Rykovsky mines). In 1926 it became a member of the trust "Stalinugol" (later "Donetskugol"). Was severely damaged during World War II. Restored in 1959, in mid-1960s becames a piece of Ignatievskaya (Kalinina) mine.
