This area comprises the largest tracts of strawberry fields in the country.
And it is for this reason that The Municipality of La Trinidad is known for being the Strawberry Capital of the Philippines. In September of 2009, La Trinidad Strawberry Fields was flooded by Typhoon Pepeng.

  • the topography of the area suggest that the flat fields and the circular surrounding hills is actually a very large volcanic caldera of an ancient gigantic volcano. Thats why the fields are very fertile.
