The cemetery is part of the Fredericksburg Masonic Lodge #4 A.F & A.M. Located next to the James Monroe Museum and deeded to the city in 1784. Several famous Fredericksburg residents are buried here, to include: Bazil Gordon (local businessman and areas first millionaire), Robert Lewis (son of Fielding and Betty Washington Lewis), Lewis Littlepage, General George Weedon and Charles Yates. There are over 225 legible stones in the cemetery.
