Pico is the most populous barangay in La Trinidad and also in the whole of Benguet Province, with a population of 18,271 as of the 2010 Census. It is considered the central business district of the municipality (and not the Poblacion) because of its proximity to the city of Baguio, and also because the Halsema Highway runs through it. Several small and large businesses such as shopping centers, restaurants and supermarkets abound the area along the highway.
