This site is an iron age hill fort. The hill fort encloses an area of about 25 acres and has an entrance to the south-east. It is defended by sections of single and double rampart and ditch.
Located nearby is the Cherhill white horse and the obelisk known as the Lansdowne Monument, erected by Sir William Petty in 1845.
