  • where all greasy sindhis cheat foriegners into buying cheap chinese products for an arm and a leg...trust me people...do business with a jew, malayali or pakistani instead
  • Im agreeing to that especially the Shop called Sonis at Sonis plaza. Not only are they selling cheap things to tourist but the managers are overworking the indians that he brings to Jamaica. The boss just carry these uneducated indians from India to Jamaica to work for nothing. I have learnt that these guys don't get paid on a weekly or montly basis and they work 10 to 12 hours a day and have Sunday for a day off in which they sometimes work. The boss promise these indians a 3 to 4 thousand bonus at the end of three yrs which they sometimes don't get. If the Indians are known to do any thing on their own, they are known to be thrown in jail or killed without any one knowing. These indians also have their personal property such as thier passport taken from them which refrain them from escaping the cruelty from their bosses. They have no idea about the situation until they get there and they really can't talk about it with no one because they are imtimidated by their bosses. How can tourist support such injustice that takes place in Jamaica? SOME ONE HAS TO STOP THIS! I would rather buy from the craft market.
  • I recently traveled to Jamaica and visited Sonis-Plaza and experienced some very impolite and rude sales persons in many shops.Fast talking and ready to short change you.I will return to Jamaica but will never return to this plaza. I will share my experience with friends and others and will tell them stay clear of that place. Jamaica is a nice island and they don't need these crooks.
  • No worries. There are so many cruise ships that port here bringing thousands of tourists that, with the lubricant of many a rum punch, will gladly drop a handful of USD's to buy some trinkets. Carry on.
