This Airport used to be called Dorval International Airport. It was renamed a year or so after Pierre Elliot Trudeau died. He was the Prime Minister of Canada during part of the 70's and 80's.

Dorval was renamed Trudeau despite Trudeau being a huge proponent of Mirabel airport and wan't to shut Dorval down. The Mirabel debacle should have been named after him instead.
