Soldier Field is a football stadium located on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Illinois, and has served as the home of the NFL Chicago Bears since 1971.

First opened on October 9, 1924 (the 53rd anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire)as Municipal Grant Park Stadium, the name was changed to Soldier Field on November 11, 1925, to serve as a memorial to American soldiers who died in wars.

It reopened on September 29, 2003, after a complete rebuild, the second in the stadium's history. With its current stadium capacity of 61,500, Soldier Field is the third smallest stadium in the NFL.
