Volcano of the Chain of Volcanic hills The Volcano of Lemptégy is a natural volcano and a unique phenomenon in Auvergne. At the same time place of playful and educational visit, there is an only open-air site which we can discover from the inside. If the visitors are driven about 80 meters under ,its former crater today, it is thanks to the exploitation of the volcanic scorias of which it was the object during years. Since 2007, the industrial activity completely stopped and this " Volcano with open heart " is only dedicated from now on to the tourism.
