Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University, popularly known as SRM University is a co-educational private university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The university has four campuses in Tamil Nadu at Kattankulathur, Kancheepuram district, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Trichy and one in Modinagar, near Delhi. Previously functioning under Anna University, as SRM Engineering College, the institute gained deemed status in 2003-04, and was renamed SRMIST (SRM Institute of Science and Technology) and then eventually called SRM University.

  • Technical fest TechUtsav is to be organized at SRM Kattankulathur campus. This will be a one day technical fest which will include workshop in latest trend of Information and technology. The fest will include various youthful and competitive events. This will help the students to learn new things and implement it in their practicals. Dates are yet to be announced.
  • The institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers of SRM University has organized 45th Mid-Term Symposium on Broadband-Technologies and Services for Rural India. This is to be conducted on 4th and 5th April,2014. The theme for the event is Broadband - Technologies and Services for Rural India. SRM University is the principal sponsor of this event. The venue of the event is Kattankulathur campus of SRM. Topic to be discussed in the event is Broadband Technology for rural India, Broadband services for rural India, E-Governance using broadband in rural India etc.
