Bolshaya Muksalma (Russian: Большая Муксалма) - one of the Solovetsky Islands is situated to the east from the Bolshoy Solovetsky and connected with it by ancient dam. The dam (called "stone bridge") was made by monks in 1865 - 1871. In 19th century there was a small and secluded monastery (skete) on the island, which later served as part of the Solovetsky Gulag camp.
