Melmangalam is one of the most fertile villages in the state of Tamil Nadu and is located on the foothills of the Western Ghats. It is a small village located on the banks of the Varaha river in Theni District. The population here is dependant on Agriculture. It boasts of a fertile landscape that is nourished by rainfall throughout the year. Temples are the main attraction here. Periyakulam city acts as it's headquarters which is located 3k.m from the village. Climate here is very pleasant. Temperatures can reach upto 33C and as low as 20C.
