Damaged during hurricane Hugo and closed down in 1999 due to asbestos issues. City of Charleston tried to buy it for $11 mil from GSA but it sold at auction for $15 mil in Nov '07 to former Georgia Tech quarterback John Dewberry who plans to tear it down. Includes 2 acres of land across from the Marion Square park
