Mulshi dam is a major dam across Mula river located in the Mulshi Taluka of Pune district of Maharashtra State, India.

Water from the dam is used for irrigation as well as for producing electricity, at the Bhira hydroelectric power plant, operated by Tata Power Company Ltd. The station operates six 25MW Pelton turbines and was established in 1927. It supplies power to Mumbai.

Mulshi Lake is primarily a week-end get-away for nearby Pune. The area is a perfect spot for picnic, with scenic surrounding, unexploited Sahyadri hilly terrains, lush green dense forests and also the ancient forts like Koraigadh and Dhangad.

The dense forest around the dam and lake offer sightings of some rare wild animals. The area has a variety of trees including teak, sag, mango trees and oak. The forest cover and the lake are habitats of various birds.
