Restaurant was opened in 1959 November 6th. The restaurant project authors – brother Algimantas ir Vytautas Nasvytis. Restaurant interior was created by artists Vladas Jankauskas, Vytautas Povilaitis, sculptor Juozas Kėdainis. In 1970 november 5th restaurant interior was registered in Lithuania architecture monument list, protected by state. Now it is listed in Culture heritage list.
Restaurant has 150 seat halls, 25 seat banquet hall and 80 seat cafe-bar.
