Jagersfontein diamond mine, one of the world famous diamond was found here-Excelsior. The stone was found by the worker on June 30, 1893 and had a blue-white tint and weighed 995,2 carats. In 1904 the stone was cut into the pieces. Today the Jagersfontein mine is closed.
