Prince of Peace Campus - A community consisting of a Lutheran Church, Lutheran School (part of the Rockyview County school division), a Senior's Manor, the Harbor (for dementia care), and the Village (a +55 residence).

Because of a previous rude and uneducated posting regarding this location, it is necessary to say that the facilities provided by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church are open to all faiths and religions or non-religions. It is to be expected that faith based material will be evident and present on site but no efforts are made to attempt to convert anyone.

  • I rate this entry a minitruth double-plus good entry! Good for you 'smitty! I never understood these things, is it secular? is it creepy? what the heck is it! And why is it there, like it just shot up all of a sudden. Aren't there lots of other places to live? Like Okotoks... They're committed to keeping it small, a good place for kids. What if I was an atheist pensioner, would they try to convert me? If I were a Catholic senior, would I go to hell? Are Presbyterians welcome? How about Baptists? LDS? Jews? Muslims? I don't understand.
  • Your comment is rude and uneducated. This facility is no different than numerous other similar facilities within Calgary built by religious groups to serve their community. The school there has Sikhs who attend. The Village, Manor, and Harbor have numerous people of various faiths (some with no faith) who live there. There are no overt attempts to convert anyone nor to convince them that one faith is better than another. It didn't just shoot up all of a sudden. It has been constructed over a period of 15 years. Some people choose to live in Okotoks; some prefer to move from there to this Village. They have the freedom and choice to do so.
