Mount Mansfield is the highest peak in Vermont. Views from the treeless summit include three states and two countries. Several hiking trails (including the Long Trail) lead to the summit; there is also a toll road* and gondola from the Stowe Resort base.

Generally considered to resemble the face of man lying on his back, with various peaks appropriately named: At the south is the Forehead, moving north to The Nose, The Chin, and The Adam's Apple.

*As of 06/09, $24 per car, up to six people. Road goes to "The Nose," from which it is a trail hike of a little over a mile to "The Chin."
