Constructed 1949-1956. Gas-fired steam turbines, the initial installation consisting of 40 MW, later expanded to 125 MW. Named (posthumously, in 1960) after Walter Seaholm who held the city's electric utility together through the Depression and the Flood of 1935. Decommissioned 1989.
Due to be redeveloped as a part-public, part-private mixed-use area.
