This was the first Wal-Mart Supercenter when it opened in 1988 (during the time of the Hypermart USA experiments). I can't find a date when Wal-Mart left and JCPenney came in (which, by the way, does not open in all the space--the part facing west is still vacant), but it was relatively recently.
