Vrankrijk was squatted in november 1982 and legalized (bought by squatters) in 1992 and is a stronghold in the Amsterdam squat scene.
The café on the ground floor is independent and ran by volunteers for more then twenty five years now. They have benefit parties and meetings for those who want to know more about squatting. Vrankrijk supports action groups and more.
Floors above are being used as a living space.
