This complex houses Indian businesses that cater for the local mixed-ethnic population.

The Belgrave Commercial Centre is also on the site of the former British United Shoe Machinery Co Ltd. (1899-1984) co-founded by Charles Bennion (1857-1829). BUSM relocated to Ross Walk, Leicester. Charles Bennion is also accredited with the revival and presentation to the public of Bradgate Park.
To commemorate his achievement a Blue Plaque is located on a wall of Belgrave Commercial Centre.
