Davis Square is a bustling commercial center in Somerville, Massachusetts. The City of Somerville capitalized on development of the new T station, from its earliest planning stages, as a catalyst for revitalizing Davis Square by promoting new commercial development and sponsoring other physical improvements, while working to maintain its traditional urban character. The success of the redevelopment efforts are largely attributed to close cooperation between the many stakeholders in the process.
