Scene of the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes 22 July 2005 by Police shortly after the London bomb attacks 7 July 2005. He was found to be innocent of any crimes after the shooting.
As of December 2007, an ad-hoc memorial to Jean Charles can still be found outside the station.
