My Beautiful Village

Sivadevuni Chikkala is a beautiful village surrounded by lush green paddy fields and coconut gardens.This belongs to the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh (India).

The name of Sivadevuni Chikkala came after the name of Lord Siva. Lord Siva in this temple also has the significance as the idol is made of white sandstone unlike other south Indian temples which have it in black stone.

We have a small beautiful railway station in our village running through green paddy fields. The station ‘Sivadevuni Chikkala’ is located on Bhimavaram-Narasapur branch line.

This village can be better approached by road as the main road from Bhimavaram passes right through the centre of the village. This gives a good glimpse of village activities unlike other neighbouring villages which have the main road passing it away from main part of village.
