Monument to the Battle of the Nations (Leipzig)

The Monument to the Battle of the Nations was inaugurated on 18th October 1913, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig. As a memorial for peace it reminds of the battle fought against the Napoleon troops by the allied armies and covers an area of 80,000 m2, including its outside grounds.

The viewing platform at a height of more than 90 m provides a superb view over Leipzig's city centre and the surroundings.
