Navsari (Gujarati: નવસારી) is a city and municipal corporation in the Surat Metropolitan Region and also the administrative headquarters Navsari District of Gujarat, India. Navsari is also the Twin City of Surat is only 37 km south of Surat.

  • I live in Navsari since 1972,almost more then half of my Life. Wonderful,quiet,lovable city.
  • the history of city dates back to 2nd century when ptolemy, the renowned greek scolar, mentioned it in his map of asia(bombay gazatier). the city was known with various names like Nagsarika, Nagmandal, Navsarika etc along the 1800 yr of its history. in the gaekwadi raaj it was a very progressive city with atleast five highscools founded before 1900 AD and being the first city in gujarat with complete underground sanitation.the major cradit goes to the parsi (virtual)rulers of the city. The city deserves a visit for its laid back appearance.today, it's the district headquarters and one of the fastest growing cities in the state. authorities forecast that it'll soon be a part of Surat, the neighbouring cosmopolitan. however, most probablly, it is going to become a SAPERATE cosmopolis.
