The 3rd tallest building in the city (155 m) opened in 1984 at a cost of US$48 million. It occupies an entire city block and is clad in orange brick trimmed with white limestone at the base and the sloping pyramidal roof is galvanized steel.
The studios and production facilities of Portland's CBS affiliate KOIN occupy the basement and a portion of the ground floor. The blue spire crowning the building houses the equipment used for broadcasting radio and tv signals.
