Not the best shopping in the world for tall Americans but if you are in the mood to goto a mall this is the closest mall to Misawa AB, it has a 2 food courts, a theater, arcade, bowling alley, super market, and plenty of stores to shop in,and a pretty decent gundam model area

  • I loved Shimoda Mall when I was stationed in Misawa AB. Don't forget the good sushi and it was an an excellent price. Clothing prices were good too. Snowboarding gear at Sport's Authority was top notch. PS I still miss all my friends there. Shiho and Ai, I still remember our love. Sounds strange but, it is what it is. I miss both of you and hope you are doing well.
  • I worked 3 years at Misawa AFB as an architect and almost every Sunday we are at Shimoda Mall, shopping, dining, watching movies. Love the clothes especially winter outfits, quite expensive but better quality. I leave in Guam so I intend to visit at least 2 x in a year. More so because I still communicate with my Japanese friends.
