Khaga is primarily an agricultural market town located 35 km south-east of Fatehpur, in Uttar Pradesh.
Nearest airport is at Allahabad. Khaga Railway Station is on the Fatehpur-Allahabad line. National Highway 2 passes through Khaga.

HISTORY :
The town of Khaga is said to have been established by a brave ruler belonging to the martial Arakh clan, named Maharaja Khadagsen (also referred to as Khadag Singh). The Arakhs who ruled doaba region post Gupta period, came to control large parts of Fatehpur district (including Ayah and Khaga) and parts of Allahabad region (around Singrur) under Khadagsen's rule. It is also said that Arakh kshatriya (also referred to as 'Arkawanshi' अर्कवंशी) rulers conducted Dashashwamegha yajnas (Horse sacrifices) in the doaaba region (area between Ganges and Yamuna) to prove their supremacy. Their power decayed with the rise of competing powers in the form of other Rajputs and Muslims

  • This is my native home place and my locality is Bairagi Nagar (Near Power House). Currently I'm doing Ph.D. in Physics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. I love this place because of my parents and my friends. Still development of this town is poor. Every elected member promise but they never do what they said.   • Please Khaga lovers demand a train link between Allahabad and Lucknow via Khaga, Fatehpur, Bindki, Kanpur and Unnao, so that people may be able to have an easy access with the state capital Lucknow.
