Vestiena Manor was first mentioned in historical sources in 1452, it was called then "Heinrich Tolka Manor at fortification"
From the 14th to the 16th century Vestiena, Tolka and Deven manors included in the Archbishop of Riga territory.
In year 1452 this county came managed by Riga superbishops vassal E. Tīzenhauzens.
In 18th Century instead of former bastion site was built current Vestiena Manor complex.
In the first half of the 19th century manor house was added extensions, hulls and porch, as a result manor building is obtained the late classicism style. The building was rebuilt again in the early 20th century after the 1905 fire. Moat were converted into picturesque ponds.
From the nine noble families that owned the Vestiena region, the longest history was Tīzenhauzens family, reigned 168 years. The last owner of Vestiena Manor was a Latvian, who bought this manor after 1905 fire and partly restored.

From 1920 manor house hosted agriculture school, then mechanization school.
Today in the premises of manor is located Vestiena Elementary School.
