interesting place, geodesic dome
This is a geodesic dome residence. (Similar to those designed by Buckminster Fuller.) The home was built in 1998 by Leo Gillis, musician and brother of Jack White of White Stripes, who wished to make a philosophical, artistic, architectural and environmental statement. The two domes were erected from kits purchased from American Ingenuity. They are made of steel reinforced concrete and are 45 feet and 35 feet respectively in diameter. The are now vacant and boarded up.
