The Arsenal building, also known as the Main building, was constructed in 1864. It is a three-story building that originally served as a storehouse. Wagons would pull up under the seven-story tower and be hoisted up by a platform lift. Once in place, rifles, cannon, or other materiel was unloaded at the appropriate floor.
