Post WW2 Housing & Industrial Estate - part of Axminster though a little distance from the town centre.
It was developed from the mid / later 1940s on the site of a former WW2 US Army Hospital / Base, which meant that much of the essential infrastructure was already in place to serve the camp.
Due to its position, it has developed an identity of its own, in many respects, with a considerable pride and loyalty being present and earned. (Regrettably, some of the industrial / commercial undertakings on the frontage to the main road are falling into disrepair, and detract from the overall appearance of the estate as a whole).
