St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church is in the Detroit District of the Michigan Conference in the Midwest Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church; under the Episcopal leadership of the Rt. Rev. Enoch B. Rochester.

St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Zion church continues to be blessed with a rich history. On Wednesday, September 30, 1998, the Historic Society of the City of Detroit, Michigan deemed our church a Historic District, designated as the B'nai Moshe-St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Historic District.
