Kannapalayam


A Village with about 200 houses. The Kannapalayam is " Kannada -Palayam", Meaning village of the People Speaking Kannada. Traditionaly a village of Farmers and Dairy, often they combined both.The east of the village is dominated by the Kannada Speaking Yadavav's and the west houses majority of the Tamil Speaking Vanniyars. The past few Generations in both the predominant communities the young are now Graduating from Colleges and are finding more morden Vocations for a lively wood and consequently the number of people taking to agriculture has reduced drastically and farm lands are turning into housing plots, which is a sad reality.
